Description
Older patients often manage numerous chronic conditions and have several physicians. This can result in prescribed medications that duplicate or conflict with each other. As a result, the patient's health deteriorates as costs escalate. In this session, we will explore the epidemiology and impact of overprescribing, and we will learn how to discuss deprescribing with patients and families in a way that is collaborative and respectful. We will also learn how to monitor patients during deprescribing.
